This des c r i p tion about the Day of Judgment has been used only once in the Qura’n. Verse 13 of Surah Hadid says:
“On the Day when the hypocrites, men and women will say to the believers, “Wait for us! Let us get something of your light!”
This will occur when the true believers will be hastening towards Paradise and the light of their belief will be going ahead of them on the right hand while the angels will be inviting them to Paradise.
Verse 12 of Surah Hadid says:
“On that Day you shall see the believing men and women their light running forward before them on their right hand. Glad tidings for you this day!”
But the hypocrites will stand humbly totally dejected looking at them and they will hear the answer to their request as described in verse 13 of Surah Hadid:
“Go back and seek the light!”
The field of gathering on the Day of Judgment is not the place to seek the light; this should have been in this world. God back if you can and borrow the light from the candle of belief and righteous deeds.
How dreadful is the condition of those blinded by unjust practices while the condition of those with righteous deeds is so beautiful. What a great message there is for us in the dialog between these two groups.
