ConclusionQiyamah

There are hundreds of verses in the Qura’n about life after death with clear meanings. Each meaning describes an individual aspect of resurrection. Collectively, all these verses describe the depth of this issue and aims and purposes of the life after death.

These Quranic meanings present new horizons to our eyes and so we enumerate them:

1. Qiyamat, 2. The Resurrection, 3. The raising, 4. The Gathering, 5. The scattering, 6. The journey to God, 7. The Beatific Vision and, 8. The Return to Him.

With this brief introduction we now turn towards the verses in the Qura’n:

Surah Rom Verse 12:

On the day when the Hour comes, the guilty ones shall surely despair

Surah Hajj Verse 6 and 7:

This is so because God indeed is true, and because He gives life to the dead, and He has the power over all things. (7) And the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it, and that God will raise those who are in their graves.

Surah Hijr Verse 25:

And verily your Lord will gather them together; verily He is all-wise all-knowing.

Surah Fatir Verse 9:

It is God, who sends the winds, and they raise clouds, then We drive them on to a country that is dead and we give life to earth there after its death; and even so is the resurrection.

Surah A’raf Verse 29:

Even as He brought you forth in the beginning so to Him shall you also return.

Surah Yunus Verse 45:

Indeed those who rejected the meeting with God and were not guided aright will perish.

Surah Ankabut Verse 57:

Every soul shall taste death; then to Us will you all be returned.
