Another proof of the sovereignty of the soul and it being non-material or physical is that the manifestation and the attributes of the soul are different from the physical attributes and have no resemblance to them because:

Firstly, the material beings are fixed in time and have stages of development.

Secondly they decay as time passes.

Thirdly they can be divided into various parts.

But the mental manifestations do not have these conditions e.g. the memories of childhood imprinted on our minds do not decay or age with time but remain as they were embedded. The brain might be decayed but the cell that recorded those twenty years ago has a permanency that is above the attributes of matter.

Our soul has a unique ability in the field of arts and photography. With out any presupposition various prints are developed in our minds in a moment like the globes in the sky, the galaxies, the earthly and sub soil creations and mountains etc. this is not an attribute of any thing material but speaks of something above them and extra ordinary.

We know that 2+2=4 and there is no doubt about it. We can separate the value of each figure individually or the figure of 4 but we cannot put another figure to be equal to it. We cannot say that the two have two separate and equal parts because equality is something that cannot be broken up.

Such mental meanings cannot be analyzed or differentiated and this is because they are not material or physical for had it been so then they could have been subjected to it. This is why our soul cannot be physical or material because it is the center of non-material meanings and this is why it is above and separate from matter. (Reflect) (1)
