There are various traditions from the infallible Imams in the annals of Islamic traditions; though they are basically for developing and teaching us but they are also connected with our topic. In one such tradition Amirul Mumineen is reported to have said:
“The Most Holy God does His work according to a purpose and not for your approval and choice.” (1)
It means that you should not worry if anything goes against your choice and inclination because it contains some secret and benefit that you are unaware of.
In another Hadith Imam Jafar Sadiq is reported to have said:
“He who is agreeable to God’s decisions is the one who has the most knowledge.” (2)
Whoever believes in God’s mercy, knowledge, wisdom, grace and his lordship in all matters will certify that whatever comes from Him is goodness, though we cannot see His secrets.
In yet another Hadith Amirul Mumineen is reported to have said:
“The total submission to God is the best thing for one's certitude in faith.” (3)
The true faith means that one should submit totally to the clear signs of creation and manifestations and that too without rancor or hesitation; the assent and agreement should be true because whatever He does has wisdom secreted in it.
