THE INTELLECTUAL PROOF OF GOD’S WILL THE WILL TO CREATE AND THE WILL TO COMMAND.

There is no doubt that the meaning for the will related to man is very different from that of the will of God because man first imagine things ( like the imagination of drinking water) then comes the benefits of that thought, then the confirmation of the benefit and then the urging or inclination to do that particular deed. The limbs come into action when the desire reaches its peak and he will turn towards the work (1) and it is clear these meanings ( imagination, confirmation, urging, command of the soul and the movement of the limbs) are not there in God because all these are contingent. Then what is God’s will?

The learned Ulema who have the knowledge of belief and philosophers want a meaning of the will that confirms His unlimited existence, totally bereft of any changes in his great being.

They say that there are two kinds of God’s will:

Or the will that is personal and the will that is connected to deeds.

The first means the knowledge of rectitude and the knowledge of the people’s welfare in the commandments and laws. He knows what the best system for the universe is; how each being can be contingent and this is the fountainhead of the knowledge of assessment of the creation in different times. He knows the wisdom about the laws and the commandments; this is the knowledge of the soul of the laws and commandments, their betterment and their weaknesses. Reflect.

God’s will to work is creation and is considered as a part of the attribute of action so the desire for heaven and earth is creation. Making the daily prayers a duty and the desire to condemn lies makes on compulsory and one impermissible.

God personal will is itself knowledge and a part of His being. (This is why I have called it a branch of knowledge) and God’s will to act results in creation. The meaning will become clearer when we will discuss the Hadith. Inshallah.
