Are God’s Names interchangeable and replaceable?The Special Names of God

We find the topic of God’s beautiful names in the Qura’n and this has been mentioned fleetingly in the Qura’n and detailed in the Hadiths. We can understand the attributes from these names for this is what they are in reality. We should be careful in choosing them but how did this care and importance originate? From where did it originate? We will discuss this after we deal with the verses and their explanations.

After this brief introduction we turn towards the Qura’n and hear these verses in our hearts:

1. Surah A’raf Verse 180

To God alone belong the most beautiful names; so call Him by them and leave alone those who are profane while using His name

2. Surah Isra Verse 110

Say, “So invoke God or invoke the Most Beneficent; which ever you invoke for him belong the best names.

3. Surah Ta-Ha Verse 8

God, there is no God but He; His are all the very best names.

4. Surah Hashr Verse 24

He is God the Creator, Maker, the Fashioner; His are all the excellent names.
