EVERYTHING IS WRITTEN IN THE CLEAR BOOKGod’s participation human training and knowledge.

We become aware of fresh and great attributes of God in the twelfth and final verse. This verse warns mankind because God is aware of everything so they should consider their inner thoughts, and secrets. It is said, ‘Indeed We created man, and We know whatever he whispers within himself, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.” Actually this verse speaks about two kinds of knowledge of God.

It is said that how is it possible that the wise creator is unaware of his own doings when He is continuously creating and bestowing His grace on all that exists. According to one simile (though it is incorrect) the grace of God is like that light that is reaching the bulb from the source of electricity.

He is not distant from His creation but is closer to them than themselves. This is the proof of the eternal existence that is extra ordinary knowledge of God about everything.

The dictionaries have mentioned many meanings of the word “Wareed”. Raghib considers it as a vein that is connected to the heart and the liver. One group considers it to be the jugular vein in the neck and some believe that this is the vein that joins the tongue to the throat. Some times it is interpreted to be the veins that are spread all over the body for carrying blood.

The first meaning, the vein connected to the heart is more appropriate because the meaning is to denote that God is extra ordinarily close to mankind. This is more evident from the vein of the heart and the veins in the neck and they are termed “Wareedan” or two veins.

The use of the word “Habal” denotes that it does not mean all kinds of veins but special and important ones. Some say that it means those veins that are like canals and not those that are like rivulets. Any way this word has been derived from ‘Wuruud” which means to strive for water and to reach it. It therefore, means those veins that carry the blood in large quantities and are not hidden. Flowers and buds are also called “ward” because this is what sprouts from the tree in the beginning.

The origins of “Tosus” are “Waswasa” and “Waswas” which means a murmur, the tools of adornment, hidden message or voice. It is also used for the fleeting thoughts in the hearts and the wrong ideas.

When He is aware of even the fleeting thoughts in our minds then there should be no doubt about His knowledge encompassing our beliefs and our deeds. The term “We are closer than the jugular vein” emanates fear but gives a hope as well and this light encompasses our entire bodies in a state of hope and fear.

Will it not seem strange that a man becomes distant even though he knows that his friend is more close to his soul than him?

Who has brought the turmoil that a friend is close to him but he is burning in isolation from him.

From the above verses that the Qura’n has a great store of references about the knowledge of God. It has enhanced and glorified the all encompassing knowledge of God with the best proof and arguments and in different styles and declared them to be the base of human development.
