The last words about the attributes of GodThe Explanations of Mafuradat

The attribute of justice is one of God’s attributes of deeds and it has a special significance. This is the reason that the scholars have dealt it separately and it has been given a special significance among the tenets of religion and is discussed separately. Though it is an attribute like the rest of the attributes of deeds and it should have been just a part of the discussion on the great names and attributes of God.

It is not possible to discuss its features before discussion the main topic so we will deal with them separately. It will be enough to say God’s justice is closely connected with the belief in Him and also with the judgment Day. The issue of Prophethood and others like authority, submission, reward, punishment, Oneness and polytheism together with the philosophy of the commandments are connected to the positive and negative aspect of justice which in turn will change the very face of belief. This society has collective justice and social and religious teachings in which the effect of justice cannot be denied.

We too will discuss this issue in details but as is the case with this topical commentary we will first look for the Qura’nic verses and try to solve the intricacies through them. With this brief introduction we now turn towards the under mentioned verses whole heartedly.

Surah Yunus Verse 44:

Verily God does not deal unjustly with man; it is man that wrongs his own soul.

Surah Kahf verse 49:

And not one will your Lord treat with injustice.

Surah Taubah 70 and Surah Zumar 9:

It is not God who wrongs them, but they wrong their own souls.

Surah Yaseen Verse 54:

Then, on that day, not a soul will be wronged in the least, and you shall be repaid for your past deeds.

Surah Baqarah verse 272:

What ever good you did will be repaid to you and you shall not be dealt with unjustly.

Surah Nisaa Verse 49:

No! But He does purify those He pleases. And they will not be even slightly wronged.

Surah Al Imran Verse 108:

And God means no injustice to any of His creatures.

Surah Al Imran Verse 18:

And God bears witness that there is no god but He and so do the angels and those endued with knowledge standing firm on justice.

Surah Yunus Verse 4:

It is He who begins the creation and then will repeat it; that he may reward those who believed and did righteous deeds.

Surah Anbiya Verse 47:

We shall set up scales of justice for the Judgment Day so that no soul shall be dealt with unjustly.

Surah Ha-Mim Sajdah Verse 46:

Nor is your Lord ever unjust.

Surah Saad Verse 28:

Shall we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall we treat those who guard against evil the same as those who turn away from truth?

1. There are many verses in the Qura’n about it and we have taken one or two verses for each issue. It is found in the following verses: Nisaa 40 and 77, Ankabut 40, Anfal 60, Baqarah 281 and others regarding “there is no injustice” denying any injustice by God. Also Yunus 47 and 54
