THE EDUCATING SIGNS OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S WISDOM.EXPLANATIONS OF MAFURADAT

There are numerous verses in the Qura’n about the determination of intention of God.

The vastness of the great universe and the things in it, the laws and the commandments, the hardships of the people and the determination of the fate.

There is no doubt that God’s determination is of two kinds, that which is originated and that which is evident.

Various occurrences and hardships in different times are proof about that He determined that certain thing or certain occurrence will take place on a fixed day; not before or after it. (This is the originating determination) and when God desires that his subject will do a certain work and will stop another work (then it is evident or manifest) what is the reality about the determination of God? This is one of the most difficult issues of rhetoric, belief and philosophy but after intellectually analyzing it we come to the conclusion the decision of the will of God is actually part of His knowledge. But how? This is will be explained under “The decision of God” after the discussion on the verses of the Qura’n.

Now let us pay attention to the following verses:

Surah Nahl Verse 40:

For to anything which We have willed we say, “Be” and it is.

Surah Fath Verse 11:

Say, “Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with God, if His will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit. But God is well acquainted with all that you do.”

Surah Qassas Verse 5:

And We wished to be gracious to those who were being depressed in the land, to make them leaders (in faith) and make them heirs.

Surah Baqarah Verse 185:

God intends all facilities for you; He does not want to put you in difficulties.

Surah Noor Verse 45:

God creates what He wills; for verily God has the power over all things.

Surah Kahaf Verses 23-24:

Nor say about anything, “I shall be sure to do so and so tomorrow” (24) Except “if God so wills”

Surah Shura Verse 51:

It is not fitting for a man that God should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a Messenger to reveal, with God’s permission what He wills: for He is most high most wise. (1)
