Finally all the discussions on resurrection culminate on two points: Paradise or Hell.
Paradise is the center of God’s bounties full of all kinds of material and spiritual pleasures.
The Hell is the center of all pains, tortures and deprivations.
What is the reality of Paradise? Where is it? Does it exists or will it be created?
This subject is vastly discussed and we cab obtain the answers for the above questions with the help from the Qura’nic verses that discuss this issue.
The characteristics of those in Paradise, its different bounties, its streams, gardens and its pure food, the best wives, friends and servants, the great respect from the angels and other material and spiritual features are discussed in the verses of the Qura’n. Many verses about resurrection or the Day of Judgment are also about them.
We would like to remind once again that whatever imagery we create about Paradise will be according to the best that we find in this world but it will not be the true picture because it something better and greater and cannot be described absolutely by us.
Despite this we can understand it generally from the various traditions and the verses of the Qura’n a picture that is very educative.
It calls out to every person who desires and strives to attain spiritual as well as material pleasures. It asks him to attain a cultures self, pure thoughts, good deeds, decent character and speech.
With this brief introduction we now turn to the verses of the Qura’n.
