The Signs of the Beginning of the Day of ReckoningThe breath of death and the breath of life

Many verses of the Qura’n speak about the blowing of the trumpet and it is clear from that this will be done twice.

The first time at the end of this world and by which every living creature in this world will die. This will be shriek of death.

The second time it will be fore the beginning of the Day of Reckoning when all the dead will rise. This will be shriek for life.

Actually the end of this world and the beginning of another is like the movement of the armies or the caravans that halt on hearing the trumpet and pitch tents for the day. Then on the blowing of trumpet the next morning they rise prepared to move.

What is the word “Soor” and what do you mean by the word ‘Nafakh”? We will discuss this issue by the grace of God. At the present the thing we attend to is that there are 6 des c r i p tions about these two events in the Qura’n.

Some times it is called “ Nafakh Soor”

Some times called “Sihah”

Some times it is “Naqar fi naqoor”

Some Sakkhata

And some Qariah

And Zajarah

The explanation and detail of these 6 topics will be seen in the verses that will be quoted. With this brief introduction we again revert to the Qura’n and study the following verses:

Verse 68 of Surah Zumar:

“The trumpet will be blown and all who exist in the heavens and on earth will swoon, except save whom who God wishes; then there will be a second trumpeting and behold they will be standing and looking on.”

Verse 87 of Surah Naml:

“The Day the trumpet will be sounded they will be stricken with terror, those who are in the heavens and those who are on earth, except those whom God pleases.”

Verse 51 of Surah Yasin:

“The trumpet will be blown and behold from their graves they will come out rushing forward to their Lord.”

Verses 13 and 14 of Surah Haqqa:

“Then one blast is sounded on the trumpet. 14. The earth and the mountains are moved crushed by a single stroke.15. On that day shall the event come to pass.”

Verse 101 of Surah Muminun:

“Then when the trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that day, nor will one ask after another.”

“The trumpet will be blown and We shall collect them all together.”

Verse 102 of Surah Ta-Ha:

“The Day when the trumpet shall be sounded: that day We shall gather the sinful, bleary eyed.”

Verse 18 of Surah Nabaa:

“The Day the trumpet shall be sounded and you shall come forth in crowds.”

Verse 73 of Surah Anam:

“His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown.”

Verse 20 of Surah Qaf:

“And the trumpet shall be blown and that will be promised day.”

Verse 53 of Surah Yasin:

“It will be no more than a single blast. When lo! They will all be brought before Us.”

Verse 49 of Surah Yasin:

“They will not wait but for a single blast: it will seize them while they dispute amongst themselves.”

Verse 15 of Surah Saad:

“They only wait for a single mighty blast which will brook no delay.”

Verse 42 of Surah Qaf:

“The day they will hear the blast in truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection.”

Verses 8 and 9 of Surah Mudassar:

“Finally the trumpet is sounded that will be the Day of Distress.”

Verses 33 and 34 of Surah Abasa:

“At length there comes the deafening noise, that day a man shall flee from his own brother.”

Verses 1 to 4 of Surah Qariah:
