The above verses mentioned 7 kinds of wine in paradise so we know that there will be a variety of drinks in Paradise. Some will be flowing in streams like milk, honey, water and wine. Some will be contained in sealed jars. There will be springs flowing down from the skies or a high place.
It seems that this is the best wine in Paradise and this is ‘Sharaab-i- Tasneem fixed for the righteous only.
The Tafsir of Ali bin Ibrahim says:
“The best wine for the dwellers of Paradise will be a special one which will flow down to them like a stream. It is a spring from which the close ones will drink, and these “: muqarrabeen” are the progeny of the Messenger. (1)They will drink the pure wine of Tasneem and the other believer will mix it with the blessed wine and drink.
We will now discuss “Sharaab Tahuur” or the blessed wine. Verse 21 of Surah Dahr speaks about it. God will serve this wine.
We should keep in mind that we have only heard or read these attributes and it is but a glimpse in our minds of what awaits us there. The truth is that we are incapable of defining the bounties and the wines of Paradise because it is impossible for us who are involved heavily in materialism to conceive about them.
Verse 17 of Surah Sajdah says:
“No one knows what the hidden bounties that please the eyes
are.”
The point to note is that the Qura’n has mentioned the differences between the pure wine of Paradise and the adulterated wine of this world in verse 46 of Surah Saffat it says:
“White and delicious for the drinkers”
It is not sour and foul smelling like the wines of this world but will give pleasure from the beginning. We cannot describe the spiritual pleasure that we will get after drinking it. Verse 47 of the same Surah says:
“They will neither suffer any ill effects nor feel any intoxication from drinking it.”
The wine of this world clouds the mind (ghoul) and its effect weaken the bodies to such an extent that one cannot even walk or keep his balance but the pure wine of Paradise give enlightenment to the mind, fan the fires of love and enjoin the drinker to get physical and spiritual pleasures from it. In verse 19 of Surah Waqiah after speaking about the wines of Paradise the book says:
“Their brows do not ache from it and their senses do not fail.”
The word “Yusadda-uuna” originates from “Suda’a” which means headache. The base is “Sada’a” which means to split and when a person has a severe headache he feels like splitting his head and so this word began to be used for severe headaches.
In short the wines of this world are foul smelling, bad tasting, head splitting and destroying the intelligence. They are also the source of various physical and mental sicknesses. Some times you feel like vomiting after drinking them and the heart begins to ache. But the wines of Paradise as tasty, soothes the mind, pleasant and nutritious for the body and the mind. They enjoin man towards God and give spiritual pleasure.

2. the word “ghoul” means to intoxicate or make insensitive and so “Gheela” means to slay. This word is often used for hidden faults or evils.
3. The word “Yunzifuun” originates from “Nazuf” which means to end something very slowly and this is why bleeding is called “Nazafol Damm”. The wines of this world do the same they destroy you slowly.
