Will the trumpet be blown only twice?The periods between the trumpets

The Hadiths tell us that it will be the angel Israphael and some scholars say that this name in cyraic means the servant of God.

Imam Ali Ibn Hussein is reported to have said: “God will order Israphael to go down to earth and he will blow the trumpet.”(1)

Some traditions tell us that he is the closest angel of God (2)

He is the first one to prostrate before Adam. (3)

Normally his holding the trumpet of death and life is the sign of his greatness but a hadith from Imam Ali Ibn Hussein tells us: “The trumpet of death will be blown by Israphael and then he will die. The trumpet of life will be the direct command of God.”(4)
