One day ABUJAHL, who was a chiftain of the idolaters and a sworn enemy of the prophet; persecuted the Messenger of God harshly? Hazrat HAMZEH, the prophet's brave young uncle who was returning of a hunting, heard of that persecution. He went furiously to ABUJAHL, and stroke him severely with his bow on the head, so that blood burst out of his nose. He said to the pagans then:``From now on, whoever harms my nephew Mohammad, he should expect my fierce return and retribution.'' After that, Hazrat HAMZEH, who was so brave that later he was called the Lion of God, went to the prophet and converted, and lived indeed a truthful and godly life, until he was martyred in the battle of OHUD, and his sacred body was mutilated by the heathens.CAUSE OF THE REVELATION (VERSE NO. 122)
