Verse 11Verse 12

VERSE NO. 11

Throughout the history of Islam, the enemy has again and again stretched their hands against the prophet, his teachings, and his followers; but their hands have been restrained and rendered powerless by the unseen, and mysterious hands of God; and Islam has made his way on throughout the world. And so will it happen always, and now as it did then. The commentators have given instances of this, such as the incident of BATN- NAKHL in HUDAYBEHEY, when a group of the Meccan idolaters, commanded by KHALID- IBN- VALID, intended to rush upon the prophet and his companions in a surprise attack, when they were busy at prayer. This attack did not happen because the prophet was informed by the angels, and shortened and ceased his prayer in time, and prepared for defence!

Some other commentators have mentioned the event of the Jews of BANINAZIRwho, eventually were banished for their betrayal and intention of killing the prophet; the detail of which shall be given in proper place in this book.
