This verse implies that such obstinate and persistent enemies were not especially for our prophet. Rather all the righteous men who have a Message from God, are resisted by the spirit of evil, which is always active against them. Devilish and wicked persons from among Jinns, and human beings, will always stand against the Godly and righteous who endeavour for God's will to be done. They seek to bar people from getting the Divine Message which leads to spiritual progress. They seek to deceive and waver the believers by means of alluring words that they cunningly induce and inspire to one another. Allah permits these acts in His universal plan, because the enemy may help in progress and development. Our enemy will raise up our possibilities, and unintentionally will render us hardy and active; and also through the enemy our faith is tested. Such Satanic Temptatoin may wake up those who are faithful, but the weak believer may incline to that, and fall in doubt. Still doubt might become the cause of surety, but those who have no faith in continuation of life after death; may listen to Satanic Temptations, and be taken in by the deceit of evil. They might have a little pleasure at the price of ruining their self, and selling their soul to evil, and fall in damnation. SATANIC TEMPTATION
