God orders his Messenger to judge between the people of the Book, and to all mankind, according to what Allah has sent down to you, and do not follow their caprices and vain desires in your judgement. Also there is a warning for the apostle in the verse, that these Jews have conspired against you by their request of you to judge for them. Therefore beware of them lest they tempt you away from a part of the Law and commandments that God has sent down to you. Continuing with the argument about good judgement; Quran, puts forth a question that, what are the people of the Book driving at?! Do they expect you to judge for them with the rules and customs of pagan era, and the days of ignorance, which were full of feuds, and disorder, with so much racial and social discriminations, and false mental attitudes? While the mission of Islam is to take man away from that awful darkness. COMMENTS
