VERSES NO. 156 - 157

      This verse and the next one close the doors of pretext upon those who always, seek excuses for escaping duties and obligations:

      ``We sent down to you this Book with so many advantages lest you should say that, Scriptures were sent down upon two parties before us, and we were unaware of their teachings, and their language and circumstances. Or lest you say; if the Book had been sent down to us, we would have been better guided than them.''

      Now the Glorious Quran is sent to you as a clear evidence from your Lord, bearing His guidance and Mercy. Then if you belie and reject the Message of your Lord which is sent down for your own good, you are the worst of the oppressors, and deserve a bad and severe punishment, which will eventually seize you if you turn away from the truth.
