Here we find those verses that speak about how the opponents of the Last Messenger and others before him regarded the resurrection and what an adamant stand they took declaring life after death to be a wild imagination and something very far fetched.

Had the Last Messenger invited them to the resurrection of the soul they all would have agreed because they too believed the soul to be eternal and so this would not have been something strange to them.

We also learn from these verses that they were surprised about the gathering of the decayed bones and earth as human limbs.

Please read the following verses carefully:

Verses 7 and 8 of Sarah Saba:

“The disbelievers say, “shall we direct you to a man who will tell you (that) you will be created anew after you have fully disintegrated into the earth fully. 8. Has he invented a lie or is he stricken with madness? No, but those who disbelieve in the hereafter are tormented and in error”

Verse 38 of Sarah Muminun:

“He is only a man who has invented a lie against God; but we are not going to believe in him.”
