This term has come twice in the Qura’n and both the times in verse 56 of Surah Rom. It is said:

“Those who have been endowed with knowledge and faith shall say, “Indeed you tarried according to the decree of God till the Day of Resurrection, but you did not know.”

There are umpteen instances of the raising of the dead to life as “Ba’ath” and the deeds connected to it and it has been signified earlier. All this tells us that the day will be a day of life after death. Since we have discussed this in detail we feel that we need not discuss it anymore.

The names and attributes and the other explanations tell us that the Qura’n has given names to different aspects of the Qiyamah to educate us and to take us to glory and perfection. So it has used different names and each one of them depicts a heart wrenching aspect of that day.

Each name and attribute of that day has its own specific message for all the generations and for all time. A message which is a powerful catalyst for saving oneself from waywardness, evil, sins, crimes , injustices and other contaminations.

A message that enlightens the eloquence of the Qura’n from many angles and which is the beacon for those who traverse the path of Truth for closeness to God. (Reflect)
