Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 05)
Verses 4-7Verses 8-10

From the above verses we may learn lessons to be constant and firm, in our way to God. By the first verse (No.4) our prophet is consoled and encouraged, to stay firm and pay not any heed if they belied him:-

``If they belie you, our Messengers before you were also belied.''

The appeal here is on the basis of Man's perversion to a wrong end. Prophets were rejected and belied in the past, and so was the case with our prophet too. Before him too many people preferred falsehood over the truth. So were most of his contemporaries and also those who came after him. The present and future too, is not an exception; and human will always exist, and take a wrong way.

Therefore a man of God should not be discouraged, even if they are few in number, that everything will ultimately return to God. When the Origin of everything is God, of surety God will be the destination of everything, and the returning point of all affairs.

Then the object of the argument is God's promise, which will definitely come to pass, and will be perfectly fulfilled. His promise on Resurrection Dayِon the Life to come-on the Final Judgement-on the Accounts and Records of Man's deeds and conductsِand eventually about the Great Rewards and the Terrible Punishments in the blazing Fire:-

``O, people! Allah's promise is true. So let not the life of the world delude you. Nor let the Satan delude you with respect to Allah.''

We must be on our guard, because Satan our Arch-Enemy is willing to seduce us; to deny the life to come, and even to forget our Merciful Creator:-

``Verily Satan is your enemy. So take him as an enemy. He encourages his party to become the companions of the Fire (Hell).''

God gave Moses four instructions namely:-

``1- Don't keep yourself busy with the other's faults, when you are not sure that your own faults have been forgiven.

2- So long as my treasures have not been entirely consumed, do not worry for your sustenance.

3- When you see that My Dominion has not ended, put not your hopes on the others.

4- When you do not see Satan is dead; don't feel secure of his plots and plans.''

God our Beneficent Creator Has intended a high and noble destiny for us; and when we reject His favour; thereby we lose our own prosperity:-

``Those who disbelieved, for them is a severe torment; and those who believed and did righteous deeds for them is Forgiveness and a great reward.''
