In every feast there are a few respectable people who invite the guests to eat. They are other than the servers. It not only enhances the beauty of the feast but also enhances the respectability of the guests. Qura’n tells us that this will be done by angels and the guardian. They will invite the dwellers to enjoy the bounties of Paradise.
Verse 19 of Surah Tur is more specific about the details for it says:
“Eat and drink with happiness because of what you used to do.”
The same thing has come in verse 43 of Surah Mursilaat:
“Eat and drink comfortably for that which you used to do.”
Is it God who says this and invites the believers to his bounties enhancing their respect or the angels and the guardians? All the bounties of Paradise are pleasant and when it says “they may be pleasant for you” it adds to the beauty of the invitation.
The same thing is said in verse 24 of Surah Haqqa but with a little difference:
“Eat and drink comfortably for what you have sent before you in the previous days.”(1)
The speaker here is not identified like the previous verse.
