Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi's Message on Ayatollah Mesbah's Demise
The news of the demise of Ayatollah Hājj Sheikh Muhammad-Taqi Mesbah—a spiritual scholar and indefatigable mujahid— left us all in grief and sorrow. He was an outstanding, erudite and pious scholar who stood up for the Islamic government throughout his life.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Compassionate
The news of the demise of Ayatollah Hājj Sheikh Muhammad-Taqi Mesbah—a spiritual scholar and indefatigable mujahid— left us all in grief and sorrow. Being an outstanding, erudite and pious scholar, he remained a staunch advocate of the Islamic government throughout his life. He trained a host of learned pupils and delivered useful speeches, making considerable contributions to Islam as well as to the school of Ahl al- Bayt ('a) throughout his lifetime.
I extend my deepest condolences to the Islamic seminaries and his pupils, not least to his esteemed family over this great loss, asking Allah to elevate his status and wishing patience and abundant spiritual rewards for his family.
