It is correct to assume that the meanings of “Esyan” and “zanb” are vast and at times includes “Tarkol Mustahabaat” and “Tarki Aula” and it is different with different people but what is the wisdom behind God’s repeated mention of the errors of the apostles in the Qura’n?
This question has been answered by “Tabari in his book Al Ehtijaj through a quote from Imam Ali. It is a very lengthy hadith in which an atheist said, I have seen that God has revealed the sins and mistakes of His apostles like Adam “Thus did Adam disobey his God and went astray.” (What is the wisdom behind this?)
The Imam replied:
“The sins of the apostles that God has mentioned in His book are the proof of God’s overpowering authority and wisdom. Because he knows that their attributes could raise them very in the esteem of their people and they could declare them to be gods the way the Christians have done to Jesus. He has mentioned these incidents to show us that the apostles do not have the perfection to be gods. (3)
