Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 04)
Verses 107-112Verses 1-2

Mohammad (SA) is a universal Mercy of God to all His creatures especially to mankind; be they believers or unbelievers. He teaches man a creed that can be the saviour of those who want to be saved. If someone rejects the offered salvation, it is then up to him.

This Mercy universally applies to all and has nothing to do with race, nationality, and colour. It applies equally to the Gentile or to the elect of God, as the Jews call themselves and those who are not a jew. It makes no difference for an AJAM, to mean a Persian, or a master that the Arab Muslims called themselves and the Persian Muslims. Mohammad (SA) is indeed the general Mercy of God to all His servants.

The brightest sign and indication of such a Mercy is Monotheism; Our God is only one God. Do we want to submit or not, that's the question? In other word, God is one, and is the God of all the creatures, and no one can confine Him in a mosque, a church, or a temple. Then the next verse (NO.109) concludes the discussion that:ِ

``Then if they turned away, say; I warned you all equally, and I know not whether that promise is near or far.''

Mohammad (SA) conveyed the complete Message of God, perfectly to mankind. He did his duty well, and if we do not realize the significance of the Message it is our own fault. The said Message includes a great good news for the righteous believers who do good deeds, and also a dreadful warning for the evil doers.

But if we ask when is the exact time that the promises will come to pass; there is no exact answer for that question; Because it is for God to decide. Mohammad's (SA) duty was to convey the Message, and to teach man how to carry out God's will, how to worship him, and how to live a righteous life, far from devil's hazards, and near to angels of prosperity. He showed man that the fleeting enjoyments of this world may seduce them to damnation, and it can be a trial to test them.
