Verse 77 VERSE NO. 77

      A group of the learned Jews, who found their social and personal interests endangered by Mohammad's doctorine; decided to rewrite the scripture which was written by their own hands, thereby changing the signs and symptoms of the promised prophet so that it would not conform to those of the Messenger of God (AS). They had agreed to  swear then, that those were the words of God, and not of themselves. The verse (NO. 77) was sent down to this effect, in order to disclose their secret Satanic plans.
