This verse ends the argument of usury by a serious warning: ``And beware of the Day when you shall return to your Lord, and give an account of your deeds. A Day in which every soul will be paid in full measure, for what he has earned, and they shall not be wronged.''
It is remarkable that the commentators understand this verse (NO. 281) to be the last one revealed to the prophet, and owing to its meaning it is not far from that.
Imam Sadiq (AS) has said: ``USURY was prohibited by Allah in order to prevent people leaving good deeds (i.e. charity and alms giving)''
