Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 03)
Verses 58-60Verse 61

The argument ends in the painful punishment of Ad. when   God's general plan is such that when an inevitable disaster comes, He saves his faithful servants by His special Grace and Mercy. Äd disobeyed their apostles, and rejected their Message and followed every rebel against God's law and religion. The sins for which the people of Äd were punished are classified here in three category as undermentioned:ِ

They denied the signs of their Lord and obstinately rejected all the reasons and evidences that were presented to them.

They disobeyed their apostles and rebelled against God.

They ignored God's commandment and followed the orders of the insolent tyrants.

Therefore they met with the consequences of their deeds and the fruit of their evil conduct, which was being followed by a curse in this world and also in the Resurrection Day.
