Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 03)
THE BLINDS AND THE DEAFS (VERSES NO. 41 - 44) Verses 48-52

Hereby some of the conditions of the great Resurrection Day are pointed to:ِ

``Call to mind when Allah will gather them altogether in the Resurrection Day. There it seems to them as if they had tarried only an hour of a day, to recognize each other!''

Compared with the eternity, our life on this earth and after death, altogether; may seem less than an hour of a day of our reckonings. This is because in eternity and in mere existence, there is no time and space, and these are the factors of relativity. In the interval between death and resurrection; the soul of man, as he is asleep, feels not the elapse of time, and with him centuries are no longer than minutes! But we still retain some perceptions of our mutual relations upon this earth, so that the judgement of God might become intelligible and convincing to us.

We shall further read this matter more clearly in the verses, QURÄNِS 30:54ِ55 as follows:ِ

``On the Day that the hour of judgement is established, the guilties will swear that they tarried not but an hour, thus they are deluded.''

But those to whom knowledge and faith is given, will say:ِ

``You did tarry as it is in Allah's book; up to the Day of Resurrection, but you were not aware(HOW LONG IT TOOK).''

Therefore, the interval between death and resurrection which is technically termed; ``THE WORLD OF BARZAKH'' seems so short to them that they forget nothing of their life on this earth and they know each other very well. There, it shall be proved to them that, loss have they sustained, who disbelieved the Day of Resurrection and the final judgement of God. Such disbelief was the cause of their insistence on their sins.

The last of the above verses, (NO.47) implies that Mohammad's prophethood is not something new among people. God has always revealed himself to every nation or generation through an apostle chosen from among them; but almost all the Messengers of God were rejected, or after them their Messages were ignored and or misued.

All the prophets, like Mohammad were assured that God's promise is sure and will come to pass, and particularly among the apostles, Mohammad (AS) in his famous ascension saw the Hell and its inhabitants, and observed the Paradise and its companions, and hence the verse:ِ

``Whether We show you in your life time some of what We have promised them of rewards and punishments.''

Any how the return of man is eventually to Allah and He will judge them with justice.
