Mustahab acts of sacrifice are as follows:

1- If Hajji has the ability to sacrifice a camel then camel is better, unless a cow and if cow is not also possible, he/she can sacrifice a sheep.

2- It is better that Animal of sacrifice to be fat.

3- It is Mustahab that camel and cow to be female and for sheep and goat to be male.

4- Standing the camel of sacrifice and watching that from feet to knees and the person who wants to perform sacrifice stands in the right side of the animal, and put the knife or spear or dagger in the hollow of the neck, and says this prayer while performing Nahr (ritual slaughter of camel) or Zebh:

وَجَّهْتُوَجْهِىَ لِلَّذی فَطَرَ السَّماواتِ وَ الاَْرْضَ حَنِیفاً مُسْلِماً وَما اَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِکِینَ، اِنَّ صَلاتِی وَ نُسُکِی وَ مَحْیاىَ وَمَماتِی لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمِینَ، لاشَرِیکَ لَهُ وَ بِذلِکَ اُمِرْتُوَ اَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمیِنَ، اَللّهُمَّ مِنْکَ وَ لَکَ، بِسْمِ اللّهِوَ بِاللّهِ وَ اللّهُ اَکْبَرُ، اَللّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّی

5- If Hajji is capable of performing sacrifice, it is better to perform it personally, but if he/she can’t do it then put his/her hand over the hand of the person who performs sacrifice.
